Alex your question ... well I've had endometrisis since ? age 24 have had many laparoscopies ,drugs etc and finally had hysterectomy 18th April 09 for endometrial tumour in my womb.

I can recommend 2 specialists but can also say my findings down my endo journey if you want?

First Consultant is Mr Chris Mann at Newcross Hospital,Wolverhampton ,West Midlands England.

I trained as nurse when he was junior doctor,I know him well and he operated on me many times ,he was at Birmingham womens hospital until this year when he moved hospitals to focus more on endometriosis and less oncology.

He used to send complicated cases to London even though Birmingham womens is considered centre of excellence for Endometriosis.

Then he learnt how to treat the complicateds himself ao no longer sent to London.

By complicated I mean ,lots of organs stuck,adhered due to endometriosis or/and previous surgery

I now wonder if surgery is the best treatment option as adhesions occur afterwards........

My Hysterectomy was done by Miss Parveen Abedin at Birmingham Womens hospital,Metchly park Rd,Edgbaston ,Birmingham B15 2TG

She is meticulous as is Chris Mann in my opinion but her knowledge of Endometriosis is unknown to me? the nurses regard her highly competant,but I have had a wound and uti infection post op ^^ but have tidy scar :).

I finally improved my Endometriosis with 18 months mini pill Cerezette,the consultant expected to see lots of end she didnt ^^ unlike most times its everywhere and she also commented it may have slowed the endo tumour too.

but I had been operated by Chris in 2006.

The Cerezette is taken continuously ,no tablet breaks and stops periods/menstruation which makes stops anaemia and allows endometriosis to spread.Pain was also reduced :) just pain from previous adhesions .

Bed Time Story For Alina Number 1

Once upon a time, there was a princess named Alina. Everyone in the kingdom knew Alina to be the fairest and most beautiful princess in all the land. All of the subjects in the kingdom loved and adored Princess Alina. She was good to all the people in the kingdom.

But now it became time for Princess Alina to marry. Everyone in the land knew it was time for her to marry. Men came for everywhere to ask her hand in marriage. Important men in her own land came. Princes from other kingdoms came. Even kings from very, very faraway lands she had never heard of came to ask for her hand.

All brought her gifts. Some brought her diamonds--carts full of diamonds. Others brought her
her gold, huge amounts of gold. Other brought her millions and millions of flowers. Other came with emeralds, rubies, or silver. Some brought her titles to their kingdoms--saying she would be the ruler of many lands. And some brought her camels. Always the camels.!!!

One man came and only said this to fair Alina. My princess I only have this for you. In his hand was a small pouch. The man gave her the pouch. Princess Alina opened the string at the top of the pouch and poured out into her hand what was inside the pouch.

A ring came out from the pouch. This ring was the most beautiful ring that the princess had ever seen in her young life. The actual secret of its beauty was that the ring reflected the beauty of the princess herself.

The man asked the princess to put on the ring to see if it fit. Princess Alina put the ring on
and it was the perfect size. Then the man asked the princess to make a wish.

Princess Alina, of kind heart, wished that the fields of her subjects were full of new crops. And all of a sudden, everything in the kingdom turned very green, and new fruits and vegetables appeared.

Then the man said to the princess "Please, Princess Alina, make another wish".

Next the princess wished that the wildlife in the kingdom would come back the way it used to be.
And all of a sudden, once again, she heard great quantities of birds singing, crickets chirping, and all the sounds of animals she had once heard as a young girl.

Then the man asked "Princess, could you please make another wish?"

And she wished that the rivers and streams were full of a water, as they were when she was a child. All of a sudden, she could hear streams of water and a small waterfall with rushing water as she used to hear as a child.

The man explained. "Princess, the magic of this ring has not been used for ages and ages. For this ring only works like this for someone of a great heart. The secret of this ring is that its owner must have a great beauty inside. Everyone in all of the lands know of your great beauty,
but until now, many did not know how deep your beauty is."

The the man added

"I am not here to ask your hand in marriage, as I am only the bearer of the ring. I am but
a simple shepherd, but this ring has been kept in my family for many generations. Now,
we have found someone who is worthy of using the ring>".

The princess then asked,

"Do you have a brother?"

Alina & The Bug

I watched Alina take care of a big bug in her apartment.
To her, it was only a very little problem. She thought nothing
about it at all.

She has no idea that for many women, this would be such a big
problem, that when a really big important problem happens, they sometimes
ignore it, cannot understand it, or blame it on somebody else.

I knew then that I wanted to be there for Alina to let her have
my shoulder to cry on, instead of her having to be so strong all
the time. I want so much to be there for her for the important
things in her life, past, present, or future. I do not want her to
have to suffer so much as she has, without someone beside her.

I think Alina has no idea how I see the little things about her,
that make me adore her even more. I only hope Alina
can understand now a little more about how I feel.

The best medicine in the world.

I told you I was feeling exhausted just two days ago. Then I started taking some things to combat inflammation--that causes the exhaustion (strong fatigue that I have). All of a sudden I feel a new burst of energy. These things just do not work that fast.

I have only one other explanation. The explanation is that I feel so much inspiration that it is helping against fatigue. I feel the inspiration from a dream. That dream, of course, is you.

Even if that chance that the dream could be reality is only small, the inspiration I feel is gigantic.
To feel that maybe, only maybe, one day there is a small possibility I could share my life with
someone so caring, beautiful, charming, intelligent, and truly rare has been wonderful medicine for me.

Of course, all medicines have side effects, and I have learned to value what is truly great enough that I accept and overlook the bad.

(I only mean--that you say you are difficult, and I can always accept that. I do think, however,
that this might also depend on the situation. If your life had been easier before, than you might be less difficult now. That is what I think, at least)
